About Brisk Sox
What we built
Brisk Sox is four games and nothing else. Klondike solitaire, drawing one card at a time. Chess against an in-browser opponent. The Fifteen sliding puzzle. Reversi, which you may know as Othello.
Everything runs in your browser as plain HTML, CSS, and a single JavaScript file. No framework. No build step. No server doing any of the thinking. You open the page and the game is already there.
How the games actually work
We spell this out because "browser chess" often means a toy. Ours generates every legal move — castling on both sides, en passant, promotion — then discards any move that would leave your own king in check. The House searches two plies deep with alpha-beta pruning and a piece-square table. That makes it a decent sparring partner, and a beatable one.
Reversi looks three plies ahead and weights the corners heavily, because corners decide Reversi. Fifteen will never hand you an impossible board: each shuffle starts from the solved arrangement and walks the empty square through three hundred random legal slides, so a solution exists by construction rather than by luck.
What we deliberately left out
There are no accounts here. Nothing to sign into, no profile, nothing to remember. Your best times and win counts sit in your own browser's local storage and never leave the device; you can wipe them from the Cookie Policy page whenever you like.
We load no analytics, no trackers, and no third-party scripts. Nothing on this site is a game of chance, there is nothing to wager, and you cannot win a prize. That combination seems worth stating plainly instead of burying it in a policy page.
